New Park Sticker (Ed Levin)

Postby bdunn » Sat Apr 07, 2018 10:56 am

Coming Soon !
the new Santa Clara County Park Sticker (Ed Levin).
The New helmet sticker illustrates a pilot has signed the new County Parks Waiver.

With multiple use permits (some concessionary) The county sought a new waiver, to mitigate their new liability.
My understanding is that the new stickers will be rolled out sometime in the next 3 weeks. (Time frame could change).
Waivers and stickers, should be available on site, however preferably the majority of them will be signed/obtained in some more convenient (to the county) manor, such as the next club meeting perhaps, or maybe an online facility.

Details to follow as we learn them.

The WOR club use permit will continue much the same, with proficiency requirements as they were for the various launches.

The park has indicated they will be enforcing more strictly the rules, so please pay attention to the site procedures which are a condition of our use permit. Where you park your vehicle in particular.

Best Regards, safe and happy flying,

(From Peter S. @FB)
Due to all the changes that happened at Ed R. Levin park, the County wants us to sign and present new waivers. Upon signing present them at the kiosk at the entrance and they will provide you with a sticker that they want us to have displayed when flying at the park. If you are going for the WoR meeting tomorrow, you can sign the waiver and drop it of there and get a sticker. This is very important, so please do this asap. Otherwise it might happen, that the rangers will forbid you to fly. ... r.pdf?dl=0

Is the "witness" to be a park ranger, fellow pilot, anybody?
