Re: "Karl"

Seems I wasn't too far from the mark when I jested we call benching up from the 600' a "Karl" maneuver. Check out what I found on Wiktionary.org...

*************************************
Karl derived from Swedish
...
Usage notes
Has connotations of being manly, and is as such somewhat frowned upon by believers in gender equality; but it also may have connotations of being able to perform a certain task. C.f. the formulaic expression karl för sin ... (with some attribute), which denotes someone who is up to par with his role, and is able to perform at least by some minimal standards on his own.

the 600 is probably working right now. south at 30 at the windslammer. but a hapless pilot would have had to carry up from the 300 : it rained last night.
we need a name when you carry up a muddy road from the THREE , then get up and over from the SIX.

I like golf terminology. We already have an eagle - a golden eagle anyway.

up from the top - eagle
up from the 600 - albatross
up from the 300 - ace

to mission/back from the top - golden eagle
to mission/back from the 600 - golden albatross
to mission/back from the 300 - golden ace
